Away in a Manger

This is the Christmas Eve Eve service at church. Adrianne's Sunday School class sang away in a manger. She was very somber about the whole thing. Makayla was quite a ham singing away with the song. Those girls really love each other. It is so fun to have a friend for Adrianne that has been there since birth (well Adrianne for Makayla since she was born first!). A very happy morning!

Fire Fairy Dancer

Adrianne started Ballet & Tap class a few weeks ago. She was so thrilled to perform at the Singing Christmas Tree and these pictures are waiting for it to be her turn to dance. I could just cry at how adorable she is. I am a proud mama!

Meeting Santa

We got to meet Santa at Jonah's work Christmas party on Thursday night. Adrianne was very excited to ask him for a new ballerina skirt and a ballerina puzzle. She thought Stella would like two new babies. When it was our turn, Adrianne got nervous and would only sit next to Santa on my lap. It was a really fun night full of holiday cheer. Just what we needed to get the holiday's going!

Daddy's Girl

Stella is Jonah's one girl cheer squad. She squeals with delight when he comes home...see a picture of him or hears him on the phone. My little dimple girl loves her daddy.

Photo Op

I had a great time with the girls trying to get a picture for our Christmas card. They were good sports, but very squirmy! What sweet angels we have!

Time to say "Goodbye"

We are getting ready to move. I thought I would be fine and ready to go, but as I pack up our things I can't help but think over the last 5 years of living here. It was just Jonah and me then...scraping every penny just to buy this place. It was totally a wreck, with no working bathroom except the toilet upstairs. I chuckle to myself about our guests who stayed with us before anything was done and must have thought we were crazy.
We have labored here. I think back on the hours of wallpaper removal that was done here by Paula, Kaydi, Kaylene & me. The Henshaw's who scraped floors. The Doty's who put down our carpet. and Jonah who made over this house just for me.
I think of bringing our babies home here. Rocking endless hours in their rooms. Thousands of trips up and down the stairs. I am so much more sentimental about this old house then I ever thought I would be. It is hard to move on to more uncertain living arraingements. Will it ever feel like home again?
I am putting on my brave face for my kids to see and pushing ahead. Dreams of a future house in front of us. Only God can get us there. In someways we are back to where we started when we first bought this house. Stretched...uncomfortable...good place to be for growth and character. Our family is strong. We are more then this house.

Is there a doctor in the house?

I love that the girls are learning to play together. They gingerly take turns "doctoring" the other. Both squealing with delight of their game. I love this about having two. Playmates, co-princesses, tea parties, reading clubs and only more fun to come.

Leaf Hunt

I love fall. One windy day I took the girls down the block on a leaf hunt. Adrianne thought it was great and stuffed her bag full. Stella mostly liked running with the wind in her face. Great fun!

We got crabs!

Here is some September fun. A trip to Waldport with the Lang gang to crab and camp. We stayed in a yurt and the girls ate up every moment digging in the sand. It was a total blast.

Adrianne's 1st Day of School

Adrianne started pre-school this year at Punkin Seed. She loves it! I can't believe that she has grown so much. How did the time go so fast?

Stella found a new thing to do...Dress up! We have 2 very girly girls!

McDowell Creek Fun

Here we are at one of our favorite spots: McDowell Creek Park. We are just "down falls" from where Jonah asked me to marry him, which is especially fitting since we are there on the anniversary of him asking. Our girls love to splash and throw rocks. It was a blast. I am really glad I said yes 9 years ago!

Fire Dad!

I (Becky) took Adrianne and Stella to visit Jonah at his new station. The girls are so proud to have a dad who is a "fire guy". They love seeing the fire trucks and hanging out! Yay for Jonah's wonderful Job!

Ode to great Dads!

I wanted to post these pictures we took this last Father's Day. I have 2 men in my life that are very important to me and are both great dads. Thank you Jonah for being a wonderful father to our kids and a great man. Thank you also to my dad, Will Tucker for being so influential in my life and now the lives of my kids. I love the way you love them. I am very lucky.

January snow trip with the family...

we took a trip to my parents cabin in sisters to play in the snow...it's for sale now. it's kinda sad to think that we might not get to go there anymore... i feel like the brave little toaster...we have lots of great memories there.

stella has been a little reluctant to start walking...and rightlyfully so when she has 2 parents to carry her everwhere she wants to go...
she now has begun the walking process and i actually caught her first few steps she took all by herself.
